What kind of person are we looking for?
Due to our clients growth, we are looking to expand their team with a mid-level QA. This person should be experienced and resourceful; at the same time eager to learn, with great ideas, enthusiasm, and ability to create a QA framework the company can hold on to.
The role requires working together with the product owner and the CTO to determine a QA framework. Within this framework, you will be responsible for maintaining quality and setting up manual and automation tests. Due to the innovative nature of the company, you will be working on a lot of products that require Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). This requires a proactive mentality able to get a quick grasp of the newly developed product.
What qualifications are we looking for?
3+ years experience as a quality assurance engineer or similar function
Experience with writing FAT documentation, test scripts, automation tests, and other relevant test documentation
Experience or understanding of JAVA
Experience with MYSQL
Familiarity with Firebase
Capable of creating a QA framework that is applicable to all products
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with version control such as Git
An understanding of how products are set up and able to follow or even question architecture decisions.
A proactive ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude to be successful and learn
Can work in a multidisciplinary team that faces new challenges on a daily basis
ISTQB Certification is a plus
About our client
The client is currently in the midst of developing a smart fueling solution for fueling up electronic and hydrogen vehicles. These solutions require a cloud platform where the client can monitor the performance of these solutions. One of the other products of the client is outdoor programmatic advertising. At the moment the client is looking to integrate its already existing and well-known programmatic advertisement platform into these new energy solutions. This all in order to prepare for the next phase: Outdoor Commerce.
Currently, the team of developers consists of approximately 15 people. The group is quite diverse and is spread out over the Netherlands and Macedonia. Expansion talks are currently ongoing with parties in Spain. Due to the Covid situation, remote working is adopted and the teams communicate together through slack or teams. Each day the teams are checking in according to SCRUM principles. Within the teams, there are back-enders and front-enders but the client is investing to get their developers as all-round as possible.
