We’re looking for a passionate QA Engineer. Do you send an email to a company if a button on their website doesn’t work in your browser, after checking it in several other browsers? Do you wake up days later thinking about this issue and will you try to reproduce it again, and write an automated test for it before grabbing coffee, to make this easier the next time? Did you just enthusiastically say yes? Then we’re looking for you!
About our client
At aNewSpring, we do everything we can to make learning fun and effective. Our software for professional educators helps them create beautiful, effective and varied Learning Journeys. We work with a no-nonsense approach and believe in open, positive and respectful collaboration.
This approach allows us to continuously improve and offer our customers a better experience. And it also leads to super happy employees. How do we know? We ask them how they experience their work and what we can improve on a weekly basis.
And we actually act on their suggestions.
We’ve grown from a small start-up to a fast-growing SaaS company over the past ten years, with thousands of customers and even more satisfied students. We are a Dutch company, based in Rotterdam, with offices and partners in our main regions (UK, Australia and South Africa).
How will you contribute to their mission?
You’ll be responsible for finding any bugs our developers left in their code before they make it to production and for ensuring the quality of the product that we deliver.
Ensuring a consistent quality doesn’t start at the end of the development phase for you, but you want to be involved with it from the start of the features onwards.
How will you do all this? For example by actively participating in refinement sessions with the whole team, following an ATDD approach during development of the product and collaborating with other QA Engineers to determine what parts of the test suite would need to be automated. And of course, actively working on those automations, while keeping a healthy balance with the manual tests.
Are you this person? Let’s chat.
Who are you?
You have experience with the testing of a web application and are familiar with tools like NightwatchJS to automate this testing. Your eagerness to learn and keep improving yourself with new techniques and technologies in the areas of security and performance testing will help us make the next steps towards ensuring a stable and secure platform for our clients.
You will bring your experience and insights to both your Scrum team and the QA team as a whole, to collaboratively determine what parts of new functionality should be automated and how to bring QA within aNewSpring to the next level.

1. At least 4 years hands-on experience working as a web-application tester;
2. Experience with test automation (using Selenium WebDriver)
