About the client
Our client is a small boutique software development company that develops third party software in the fields of Machine Learning and BlockChain technology. While these fields are still largely unconnected, they are at the forefront of the technological innovation within software development. Their team consists of only experts in at least one of these fields. For their customers they are able to create tailor made solutions that fit their needs.
They are building a web3/ open blockchain web application on the Ethereum blockchain. Their application is a Decentralized Finance application. For that they need to develop a front end web application with the help of a Next/ React framework. However, because they are interacting with open blockchains instead of servers the development of this application will differ a lot from the normal development process.
What kind of person are we looking for
They need a independent and pro-active frontend developer with ideally 3+ years of hands on experience.
What they need is the development of a Next/ React template where the following is in scope:
* Design of the interface (UI components, design systems & interaction design) with experience in implementing and adapting mobile-first design methodologies, as well as developing and maintaining design systems with robust component libraries
* HTML/ CSS styling
* Next/ React code: a CSS module per react component, where react is written in functional components (not class components)
* Experience with charting tools like e.g. Highcharts (nice-to-have)
The following is nice to have:
* Some experience with open blockchains like Ethereum, e.g. writing smart contracts, automating transactions.
* Experience with the use of crypto wallets like Metamask.
* Experience with web3 specific Javascript libraries like web3.js and ethers.js
