Due to our rapid growth, we are looking to expand our team with a Senior Cloud Backend Engineer!
The Role
Our Saas-platform designed for B2B and D2C commerce is API-first and Headless, which means we integrate with ERP systems, CMSs and many other adjacent technologies. Via our GraphQL API the platform ‘talks’ to frontends like WordPress and Vue Storefront. In the meantime customer, product, pricing and stock data is going via our REST API’s from and to Product Distributors, ERP systems, Marketplace integrators, etc.
Requirements
- Experience with Node.js/TypeScript (preferable) or Java
- Experience with frameworks like NestJS or Spring Boot and ORMs like TypeORM or Hibernate
- Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud (preferable), AWS or Azure
- Preferably some experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or event streaming platforms like Kafka
- Hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD (GitLab, Github Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines) and tools like Docker, Kubernetes or Pulumi/Terraform is a big plus
What you’ll do:
- Work in our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our software
- Designing, deploying and managing microservices for our headless API
- Define, introduce and document best practices and strategies
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance

About the Client
Propeller’s 25+ member team is dispersed over three countries, with the HQ being in Amsterdam. Most of the engineering team, 14 and counting, is based in Skopje. We are a fast-growing product company building an awesome e-commerce platform that focuses on business to business relationships. Driving revenue for our customers and better experiences for the customers of our customers.
We mainly use TypeScript with NestJS and Angular in our day-to-day work, and databases like MySQL, Neo4j, Elasticsearch and MongoDB. We run a microservices platform in the Google Cloud (using Kubernetes, Cloud Functions, Istio and related technologies) and use a CI/CD infrastructure with GitLab.
Working hours and location
9AM – 5PM, open for flexibility
